01Who we are

Tasseikan is made by Kodetive LLC, a Utah company ("Kodetive," "we," "us"). This policy covers the Tasseikan iPhone app, the website at tasseikan.com, and the waitlist on that website.

02What we collect

When you use the website

• Your email address, if you join the waitlist.
• Basic technical data that any web server receives, like your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Our host keeps this briefly for security and to keep the site running.

The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.

When you use the app

• Account details: your email address or your Sign in with Apple identifier, and the name you choose to show.
• Goals, tasks and Focus Rules: what you want to achieve, the tasks you create, the times your rules run and your streaks.
• Hansei reflections: anything you write in your evening reflection.
• Task proof: photos you take to verify a task, and confirmations from an accountability partner if you invite one.
• Apple Health data, only if you connect a task to it, and only the types you approve (for example, a workout or step count).
• Purchase status: whether you have Premium and when it renews. Apple handles your payment, and we never see your card details.
• Device and diagnostic data: your device model, iOS version, app version and crash reports, so we can fix bugs.

03Screen Time and the apps you pause

Tasseikan uses Apple's Screen Time tools (the Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks) to pause the apps you choose.

When you pick apps, Apple gives Tasseikan an anonymous token for each one, not the app's name or anything about how you use it. Those tokens stay on your device. We can't see which apps you picked, and we don't collect your browsing or app usage history.

04Apple Health

If you connect a task to Apple Health, Tasseikan reads only the data types you approve, only to check whether that task is done.

• We never use Health data for advertising or marketing.
• We never sell it or share it with data brokers.
• We don't write to Apple Health.
• You can turn off access at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices → Tasseikan.

05How we use your information

• To run Tasseikan: save your goals, run your Focus Rules, check tasks and keep your streaks.
• To plan your goals with AI, if you use AI goal breakdown (see the next section).
• To let an accountability partner you invited confirm your tasks.
• To manage your subscription and restore purchases.
• To answer you when you contact support.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix bugs.
• To send you the launch email if you joined the waitlist. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it to show you ads.

06AI goal breakdown

Premium includes AI goal breakdown. When you use it, the goal you type and the details you give about it (like how much time you have each day) are sent to a third-party AI provider to create your plan. We send only what's needed for the plan and never your photos or Health data.

Don't include sensitive personal details in a goal you send for AI planning. You can always build a plan by hand instead.

07Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run Tasseikan, and only for that purpose. They aren't allowed to use it for anything else.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of Kodetive. If that ever happens, this policy will still apply to your data.

08Accountability partners

If you invite a partner, they'll see the tasks you ask them to confirm and the proof you attach to those tasks. They won't see your other goals, your reflections or your Health data. You can remove a partner at any time.

09How long we keep it

• Account data stays as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something.
• Task photos are kept with your account. You can delete one at any time.
• Waitlist emails are kept until launch, plus up to 12 months, unless you ask us to remove yours sooner.
• Web server logs are kept for a short time, usually no more than 30 days.

10Your choices and rights

• Delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your data from our systems.
• See, correct or export your data by emailing us.
• Turn off access to Screen Time, Health, the camera or notifications at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
• Leave the waitlist using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us.

Depending on where you live, including California, other US states, the UK and the EU, you may have more rights over your data, like the right to know what we hold, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. To use any of these rights, email support@tasseikan.com. We'll answer within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking.

11Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, access controls in our database, and by collecting only what we need. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

12Children

Tasseikan isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@tasseikan.com and we'll delete it.

13Where your data is processed

Kodetive is based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

14Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
